Obey Your Master

I was lucky enough to receive  an invitation to the opening of obey your master. Initially was not going to go as I had gone to the affordable art fair and was out all day, but knew I would regret it if I didn’t go. The opening party started at 7, I got there around 8 but parking was terrible as usual on fairfax. After circling the surrounding streets for around 30 minutes I finally found parking.  Once I got to the gallery I had to wait another 20 minutes or so to get in, but it was worth the wait. In attendance was metallica, Steve Caballero, Tony Alva, and Shepard Fairey was on the turntables. Overall the show was great, good atmosphere, great art, and good music.

Gallery 1988 x Adult Swim

Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend the opening of the Adult swim show @ gallery 1988. I had my eyes set on two prints and hearing that people were already lining up the night before i got there as soon as i could which was around 2 hrs before opening time. This is what the line looked like at that time.

After waiting in line for 2 hrs we were finally in my friend and I were around 37th and 38th in line. While they began to let us in a wild Seth Green appeard

I brought my camera along in hopes of snapping shots of the show but I was so distracted on getting my prints and the gallery being filled wall to wall with people it was nearly impossible to shoot anything. Here are a couple shots i took.

And after we finally reached the end of the line to check out i got the prints i was waiting for! My whalen and perillo. The perillo was immediately framed with a frame i had laying around and the whalen will be sent to the framers soon :].
